Quality Assurance, Six Sigma Quality and Reliability
Sest,Inc. safety, reliability and quality assurance department (SR&QA) has vast experience in aerospace SR&QA including but not limited to: space shuttle SRB Beam, space shuttle inter-tank, Boeing 737 leading edge, Boeing auburn contracts, Lockheed Martin patriot missile system and advanced sterling radioisotope generator safety, reliability and quality management systems.
As an aerospace contractor to the United States government and major aerospace companies, Sest has developed quality assurance, reliability and systems integration in the design and manufacturing of advanced aerospace systems. Sest is responsible for the development of Safety, Reliability and Quality Management Standards compliant to AS9100, NQA-1-2008 and DOE O 413.3 in support of existing NASA Glenn Research Center (GRC) contracts.
Sest, Inc. has trained certified and experienced staff in Six Sigma Quality Management, Improvement, Assurance, and Reliability. Six Sigma is a systematic, disciplined, data-based method to eliminate defects (driving towards six standard deviations between the mean and the nearest specification limit) in any process - from manufacturing to transactional and from product to service in order to improve quality and assure reliability.
Sest capabilities include development of measurement-based strategies to improve process and reduce variation through Six Sigma quality processes. It can be applied to a new product design or to addressing product quality, reliability and/or manufacturing issues. Projects are grounded in rigorous requirements analysis, laying the foundation for success.
Sest utilizes tools such as Quality Function Deployment (QFD) and Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) to thoroughly understand requirements. Design options and trade-offs are quantified and evaluated relative to measurable requirements. Problems are analyzed systematically using appropriate tools to determine root cause and make appropriate effective recommendations. Analysis and testing is used to make verifiable data-based decisions. For challenging situations, Six Sigma rigor can make the difference in delivering successful designs, solutions and cost savings.
